dynax
Ideally you should always carry out a pre ride inspection before going out, also you should have an owners manual which will give you details of periodic maintainence, but usual maintainence will be checking and oiling the chain, checking tyre pressures, checking the engine oil, brakes, lights etc https://www.manualslib.com/manual/611281/Yamaha-Mt-03.html?page=

James in Brum
Get the Haynes manual, it has a Maintainance schedule in the front of it

WD-40
A few important things to check, oil level, is there oil in the sight glass? Is the chain dry or slack? Tyre pressure, is it low or is there anything stuck in the tyre? Are the critical bolts tight, like brake caliper and axle bolts? Are your brake lights coming on and going off properly? Is the headlight working? That's what I check before I set off in the morning. Might sound like a lot but it's not, only takes a minute while the bike is warming upHave a read through your owners manual https://www.yamaha-motor.co.th/docs/owner-manual/commuter/en/mt-03-en.pdf?Status=Master&sfvrsn=ba911a2f_4If you want more info have a read of the workshop manual https://www.moto4.ru/downloads/yamaha-mt-03-service-manual.pdf
