Two man job is this one!

Pump the lever hold it back then crack the banjo bolt at the lever and then nip it up

Make sure you cover the banjo with a rag as fluid can go all over when I say cover I mean wrap it as much as you can

Is it do that and repeat like at the bleed nipple? When do I stop?

Yes and do it maybe 10 times or until you get some pressure in the lever then go to the calipers and try again

Bleed banjo until there is pressure and then bleed callipers again?

Yeah, hopefully that works.

If not a bout of cursing may do the trick

Just once or twice is usually more than enough

Sometimes you get an air lock in there and produces the same issue you're having
