Old Railway Station in Seron!

Out by 10 and back by 1........to visit the old Railway Station in Seron, Almeria!


The line originally opened in 1894, and finally closed in 1984.


And unlike many of these places, they've left a lot of the original elements in place including some of the tracks.


You can also see where the locomotive turntable was, and some of the buildings have been restored.

You certainly get to visit some good places where you are :thumb:

 

I used to go to obscure places in Britain as well........

......but they were nothing in comparison to the type of stuff that's here!


Traffic volume and weather don't match up either! :lol:

In the early 70's I used to ride the old paths on an XL125.


It was great then.....the tracks had been taken up but everything else was it had been.


You'd end up going through tunnels and little stations.


Then they turned them all into country walks with no vehicle access.

Brought it to Spain with me.......then shipped it back there two years later.

A guy in Cardiff bought it.......only had it a couple of weeks and it got nicked. Never seen again!

Would have been nice to be able to ride down all the old tracks from village to village. :thumb:
