An old friend just sent me this beautifully scanned picture of myself on my second bike . It was of a primitive design using push rods and a primary chain . Glad I've got a modern bike now .....oh hang on . I know we've done this before but if anyone has a picture of themselves on one of their early bikes please feel free to post .

I'll be surprised if anyone has anything cooler than this. Yes I was a bad ass muddyfunkster from an early age. From the days when heavy knit was atgatt.

Here's another picture of two friends of mine , both alive and well I'm happy to say . That's Gerry on his Hurricane that he's still got and Rich who has sadly slipped out of the biking world .

It's in better condition now than it was then . Last time I saw it it was in a van being driven to a secret location in case the ex wanted it as part of an acrimonious divorce settlement .

Me and my brother on dads bike. Anyone guess what it is?

My first bike .. It cost me an old air rifle.

I maybe wrong KiwiBob but it looks like a Phelon & Moore 600 Panther?

And the Bantam was exactly the same as mine a 1978 D14/4 I believe.

I know how it feels......so many decades have passed now that it's difficult to keep track of them!

And I went and put D3 originally instead of D7.

So between the two of us we f*cked up the whole dialogue!
