You put it in the hallway @dynax?

Holy shit......most of us here would get hell on earth if we did that!

Even more so with the state on that thing!

I recently hid my lawnmower under a sheet in the dining room for about a week and it lay undiscovered  All week I kept expecting to hear my name being shouted but it never happened :?

I know you don't have grass in the wasteland so here you go, one of these.

Looking at the thing the engine reminds me of a copy of an early Bantam and the frame and running gear from a Puch Maxi lol.

I am sure dynax is going to have a lot of fun with this.

Cheers

Ian

Florence!

This is not the Magic Roundabout. Mind you Dynax and Dylan seem not too far distant from each other.

Maybe Dynax should change his user name to Zebedee. Mind you with Bridget and Xena(!) in the shed as well he's probably lost to all propriety.

the more I look at it the more I quite like it. Looks like a nice pootle down the shops kind of thing. In fact pootle is a good name for it. Like the flump.

We have spark and working throttle :thumb: the spark plug that was in is shagged but is different from the recommended one, the one that was in is a NGK b7HS10 but the recommeneded one from a search is a b5hs---, can't be sure the one that was in actually ran with it, so would it be best to get the b5hs or should i just get the b7hs10, cheers :thumb:

I'd veer towards the recommended one. Probably someone had to change spark at some point and that was all they had laying around

Thanks Tiggie that was my thought too but can't find anything other than a b5hs no other numbers come up like 7 or 8 or 9 as i believe these are for a heat range on the plug maybe a 9 might be a suitable option ? :thumb:

Actually that reminds me of one of my first cars. I decided to change spark plugs, bought the correct ones for the car but after taking the old ones out I noticed they were shorter than the new. I double and triple checked online before installing! That was a very tense time on first start up, I was really expecting to hear a clang

dynax I was just looking on ngk and was about to tell you the same!! the only difference is a miniscule amount in the gap so i'd say its fine (0.9mm vs 1mm) :thumb:

We also have lights, geez i am fooked, managed to hand crank the pedals and generated some leccy to briefly make the bulb glow dimly, but it works that is the main thing  i really hope getting it registered will be plain sailing as it won't be too long before it will be useable, wheels and brakes next me thinks while waiting for engine parts :thumb:

Nothing to report except that i have found a company that specialises in vintage mopeds and found some nice whitewall tyres, also i have decided not to touch the frame too much just a clean and some rust prevention stuff, as i think with the wheels cleaned up these tyres would look well, also have read that using boiled linseed oil is a good coating to preserve the patina, will be taking the front wheel of today and see how we go on cleaning and polishing it :thumb:
