Sold: Bike trailer

Recommended Posts

I'm clearing out the garage of track day stuff so my trailer is up for grabs.

It's got a tilting bed and a short ramp which makes loading a bike on single handed very easily.

The wheel holding bit at the front holds a 120 tyre snugly and securely to allow the bike to stand up unassisted while you whip round to strap it down.

It's got an outrigger at the front to strap the bars to and the rear can be strapped around the axle. Using 4 decent straps the bike is nice and solid. I've been all over with it no problems - even the run up to Cadwell didn't cause any issues.

It comes apart easily so it can be stored upright against a wall.

The base frame is the heaviest bit but I can pick it up and I'm not exactly strong these days. :-(

Upright it'll just fit under my garage door so can be squeaked in that way if space is really tight (which it is for me!).

I fitted new tyres the previous summer and have done a total of one track day since then so they're basically new.

The only shabby bits are the mudguards - they're obviously too big and one of them is a bit busted. I've been meaning to replace them but haven't got round to it. I take the mudguards off for storage (3 bolts each) but with smaller ones I wouldn't bother. One of the lights has a little chunk out of it too. Both of these are cheap, easy fixes.

I've not seen a tilting bed collapsible one like this go for sensible money so given the mudguards are iffy I'm looking for £250.

Cheers,

Fro

Edit: I forgot to say I'm near Bury st Edmunds.
