A small snack at Old Stores Cafe

Recommended Posts

I went for a bimble with a mate from Little Budworth down the A49 then took the A534 towards Wrexham but turned off at Holt and took the back road through Rossett, crossed the A483 (which is no fun) and then followed the A550 towards Penyffordd, where we turned left for Pontebllyddyn.

Where a modest snack was consumed to fortify us for the journey ahead. The black pud is under the egg.

The Old Stores cafe has just reopened and was quite busy. Some lovely bikes there.

From there we headed towards the Horseshoe Pass

Before trundling down to Ruabon and heading back to Whitchurch - where we found the A49 closed due to being resurfaced. Avoid that stretch just north of Whitchurch as there will be loads of loose gravel for a while. So we doubled back to the A41 and headed homewards that way.
