as far as i'm concerned the GOV are responsible for our health and safety and these face coverings should be provided at the entrance of all shops and businesses :thumb:
 I suppose they're responsible for putting food on your table and a roof over your head too then!

What's the matter with taking care of your own responsibilities rather than relying on others doing it for you?
If you are going to quote then quote all of it otherwise it puts it out of context, and who mentioned food or housing i didn't

“ I have a good supply of FFP2 and FFP3 disposable masks that i bought a few years ago for my woodworking, i did use a couple of the FFP3 at the beginning of the outbreak when i went shopping, then i didn't wear any at all until now, and bought a pack of the surgical type as i'm not wasting my FFP3/2 as they were expensive and i bought them for a specific use not this pandemic, as far as i'm concerned the GOV are responsible for our health and safety and these face coverings should be provided at the entrance of all shops and businesses :thumb:
But what @Mr Fro has posted is not out of context. Unless you are saying you will buy your own masks for wood working for your own health and safety but you want the government to buy them for you to shop. In which case who carries the cost. You will in the end pay in increased taxes. If the shop provide them you pay in increased shop prices.

I don't disagree, i just think that the GOV should provide them that's all, and let's face it they have taken away more from us than they have given back over the decades

As of this morning in areas near us if I want to visit vulnerable parents I cannot meet them in the seclusion of their own back garden, but I can meet them, without any form of face covering, in a pub.

As of next week people gathering in a church where there is huge social distancing have to wear face coverings. But after the service it is perfectly safe for them to cross the road to the pub where they can meet close together round a table without wearing face coverings.

Can someone cleverer than me explain the science behind this please.

It's obvious - There is tax (VAT and Alcohol duty) collected in a bar but not in a church or a back garden!
