La Estación de Tijola

Here's another old Railway Station which me and the wife visited in the car en route to the Brit shops in Albox to get our tea bags and all the other food stuff we need!

I'm not going to be consigned to eating the sort of roadkill some of the natives eat.

Anyway, I knew this station was going to be a letdown because they've converted the station building into a restaurant and the sidings into a childrens' playground.

That totally ruins it for me because I want to see the real thing in a Twilight Zone setting.....not some bloody theme park. It's destroying history!

However......on the approach to the station there's old stuff there, the tracks are still down......and best of all a restored Locomotive!

Only a small Shunter.......but beggars can't be choosers!

First, here's the updated map with the stations that have been visited.......

That's you and the wife, thought you would look a bit older.

No that's me at 66!

I took that particular pic out from here now because I'd already put it in the other thread.

But I've got this one.......very awkward steps to get down because they're actually well underneath the top platform with big gaps between them.
