Stopped at halfway house for a drink in the beer Garden. Came out to this
Not my thing but it was a villiers, it was shiny and it had gear change on the right

It’s shame to ride it on the road, it should be parked in the living room

It's not actually a Villiers . It's a Francis Barnet Cruiser 250 . Villiers engines were supplied to dozens of small British manufacturers most of which vanished as quickly as they appeared .

That Francis Barnett is a pretty bike, but I wouldn't want to ride it.
I had a Norman motorcycle many years ago. It had a Villiers 2T engine, which was a pretty gutless 250cc 2 stroke twin.
The chassis and brakes were also just about average for the day, so replacing it with a 350cc Matchless G3LS was a good move.
Those were the days !?! :?
