It's not actually a Villiers . It's a Francis Barnet Cruiser 250 . Villiers engines were supplied to dozens of small British manufacturers most of which vanished as quickly as they appeared .

That Francis Barnett is a pretty bike, but I wouldn't want to ride it.

I had a Norman motorcycle many years ago. It had a Villiers 2T engine, which was a pretty gutless 250cc 2 stroke twin.

The chassis and brakes were also just about average for the day, so replacing it with a 350cc Matchless G3LS was a good move.

Those were the days !?! :?
