No country can withstand endless bloody lockdowns. Personally as an older bloke I'd be quite happy to take my chances with the disease rather than endure more complete bs from government. I'm becoming an anarchist in my old age FFS.
Time for John Lydon to record this again I reckon.....

Some things don't age well, they just look like a bunch of vegan corbyn supporters.
Coalbin is yesterday's news Bender!

The only supporters he has now is the deranged SWP and Momentum element in the Labour Party........and they're being neutralised!

What is the point! As schools have reopened and taken measures for social distancing inside the classrooms it is a waste of time and effort, yesterday coming back from shopping it was at chucking out time for the schools and the total disregard of the rules was evident, congregating in huge groups no masks and most less than a metre apart, an absolute joke

It's not just the UK. I'm arriving in South Africa on the 9th and 7 of my crew (of 22) are seriously over their time. 5 ratings are coming up for a year - contract 9 months, chief mate on a 3 month contract been on board since mid-March and 4/Eng on a 4 month contract been here since January. South Africa is proud to announce that crew changes are now permitted in Cape Town and Durban (my destination) which sounds great until you realise that the government of South Africa has banned all international flights and this is not expected to change in the near future. These guys are becoming dangerously weary and I'm supposed to jolly them along. Complete BS!

The pub is worse though..!

Been to three different ones over the past month, none have taken any details for track and trace, and only one had some kind of distancing enforced along with some perspex to help protect the bar staff. The other two are like nothing ever happened, old blokes stood at the bar, everyone shouting at each other, scary stuff.

I think many, rightly or wrongly, have reached the "f**k it" stage and are behaving accordingly. Rightly or wrongly, at the present low hospital admissions, almost zero deaths, whilst Govts take their ideas from Nineteen Eighty Four and preach a gospel of fear and doom along with the media, economy in a graveyard spiral, folk are pissed off, also frightened for their livelihoods. Everyone pissed off + fear +lots of disinformation = recipe for social disintegration.

Inverness is something of a hub that sees many people (like me) travel in and out of the town to all over the Highlands & Islands for their jobs, and is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Scotland, yet we've had hardly any cases at all this year. There's been tiny (single/very low-double figures) local outbreaks. We know of only one person here who's had it since this all kicked off in March. It's many the population centres in the Central Belt, yet even there, despite Queen Nic's incessant moaning gospel of doom and terror and lockdown threats, cases are very low.

Most open now. The few that are shut have either gone bust or owners have decided it's not worth opening this year.

It's the large hotels that depend on coach parties that have been hit the hardest . Not looking good for next year either because the smaller coach firms have also been hammered .

I think on balance kids being back in school is important and outweighs other factors. I know not everyone agrees.
