The numbers just keep rising again, they can’t afford another full lock down though so looks like the long slow haul to wherever.

The school where my wife works has several staff off waiting for tests or results. Not only is it disruptive but they have to cover the cost of supply staff and the budget doesn't have enough in it to last the year.

Schools will close because of lack of finance before they get to the end of the year.

This virus has been blown out of all proportion, plenty of people die from colds/flu, I don't think it's as bad as everyone fears it to be
I'm quite dismayed that an otherwise sensible chap such as yourself would unexpectedly spout such drivel . Sorry Rich, but you would do well to reconsider that irresponsible viewpoint .

Yes I gave to agree it's not just like the flu, a friend of mine was in an Induced coma for 6 weeks and is still recovering after 3 months, he is a nurse. 2 friends have lost parents it's no joke this virus is taking out a lot of older people and specialist medical professionals. It's true that as it's a virus it's mutating it seems less likely to kill now but is now harder to detect as less symptoms but will easily end the lives of the elderly and those with health conditions.
If you don't believe any of this or think it's some sort of conspiracy fair enough your choice, but just make sure that you don't spread this virus to anyone else. Stop at home and watch some box sets of the X files or something.

I do believe that Rich (and anyone else) is entitled to have and express his opinion. If others disagree with that opinion, that's fine, but to criticize the person for having that differing opinion is not fine.

For many, possibly most people, it might be similar to a bout of flu. I certainly had something early March that knocked me out for a while and I've not had the same lung capacity since. No testing then so I can't be sure what it was, but I'd been with a guy who had just come back from Italy. He was ill whilst there and when he got back his son ended up with lung failure. So strong possibility it was Covid.

But for others it is deadly. The son is a doctor and he was very seriously ill.

So whilst it's not major for some for others it's deadly. That's typical of coronavirus infections. Previous pandemics have shown similar patterns, with appalling death rates.

I am not including Rich in this BUT when people express their opinion by pushing past me in the Supermarket without a mask or cram themselves into a pub carpark so tightly that pushing and shoving breaks out ( Two doors from my house ) I will express my opinion whether it's fine or not .
