Abandoned buildings for Xtreme

Knowing your interest in old infrastructure, took a pic of an abandoned pillbox on our afternoon walk.

It's on the Oxford canal about a mile from home, it was part of the WW2 defence line as an inland barrier against any invading forces.

It's in surprisingly good condition and the entrance remains open; not that I'd venture in there as its full of rubbish and God knows what else.

In a similar vein, a friend of mine at work visited Vietnam and got to crawl through some of the tunnels that the Vietcong used during the war.

She said it was incredibly claustrophobic and she has no idea how they not only moved around but even stayed in them for days on end. Especially when the ones she went in have actually been made larger to accommodate the size of the average tourist
