This is why I love living in the countryside of Scotland.

I can leave the bike with the keys on ignition and sit in the cafe :thumb:

Hmm I remember sitting in a pub garden with @Six30 and being safe with my keys in the ignition like you say.

Mind you it was only safe as I flattened the battery and had to bump start it lol

Cheers

Ian

So when are we going to see a pic to show us what @Six30 looks like?

I seem to remember him taking a shot or 2 but cant recall if any were selfies.

One thing I can guarantee his avatar on here is not accurate lol.

Cheers

Ian

I think this will be me for a moment of naivety...

Talking at work with a friend they recommended a TV program.

About a TV program about a Porn star mum on the BBC, they could not think of the name. So I googled it:

"Porn Star mum BBC"

Not wise key words on works Wifi when they are sensitive about how its used...

Turns out it was not a wind up, its on Channel 4 and called "Adult Materials".

Guy in a big red rumbly V8 Merc, he wasn't driving like a nob but must have felt like one after dealing his ego a blow with the Silverwing.

On my way home last night, pull up at a set of lights at a major crossroads in Rugby.

Two lanes, both can go straight over and it funnels back to one lane after about 150m.

The Merc pulls up beside me at the front of the queue, lights change and I pin it.

I can hear the V8 accelerate but I'm in front up to about 45mph before he has to pull in behind me

Accept I might have caught him on the hop and he wasn't expecting a shonky old scooter to challenge him, but a win is a win :thumb:

The idiot in the Suzuki Jeep thing..... I think he learnt that they don't corner well in the wet when braking hard.

End of dual carriageway, 50 mph road and raining fairly hard, idiot in Suzuki then comes flying up the outside lane and having to brake overly hard to not go straight over the roundabout.

A 270 spin and a look of smug on my face when passing him. A couple of miles later back he comes again, this time learning that his shitheap doesn't corner as well as an Abarth.

The idiot who dropped his Speed Tripple RS!

Riding (filtering at this point) to work up the old kent road this morning and an impatient guy on a noisy beast starts giving plenty of right wrist behind me. So when I get a chance I move over to let him through, only to catch him at the next set of lights.

Couple of sets of lights later and I'm still there with him much to his dismay. :D

Just past Elephant and Castle heading towards Westminster and the road drops into a 20mph zone due to schools and the like. This guys blasts from like is the start of a race, front wheel struggling to keep on the ground.

500 yards up the road and he's dusting himself off and the tripple is in the gutter on its side! I would guess that some school kids crossed a road and he wasn't able to stop and dropped it.

I hope the bike isn't too bad as I quite like them, but I just hope he's learnt to stop being a dick.

Fish

PS. I'm not preaching that I'm an angel, but when there's schools around I do tend to ease off.

Todays nob is the teenage Muppet on his e scooter thing that ran a red light to cross 6 (yes 6) lanes of traffic as all their lights turned green on a 40 mph road.

Special mention (on the same journey) to the young woman in a new VW polo. She overtook my bike, her doing about 40 in a 20 zone at night and then had to slam her brakes to not hit the concrete island in the middle of the road.

  • 4 weeks later...

Goes to the other fryer at my work who has wrecked the prep room radio by accidently soaking it with a hosepipe that got out of control :crybaby:

4 hours of fish cutting in silence will not be enjoyable tomorrow!!!

put the sound up and have a listen to what the waters done to it. Sounds to be in pain 😂

Me (again!)

Wiring a security light to outside of shed as it is so dark at the bottom of the garden you can barely tell a shed is there!

There was a 13amp fused spur already in use so I thought I'll just stick it on there (l.e.d. lamp so barely any drain)

I wired it all in via torchlight and it was working lovely, garden lights up nicely when I get near shed so I can see keyhole now :)

Turned lights off in shed and garden was in darkness, I have have wired it into the wrong box!!

I have two l.e.d. strip lights for lighting and I've wired it into the junction thats used to split the feed to them :bang:
