Looking at getting another lid , think the most I've give for a lid is just under £200, liking the look of some Shoei lids but they are a fair bit more expensive ... are they worth the extra , wind noise , fit etc .

wind noise is irrelevant in my book as I wear earplugs all the time plus I have a barn door to stop that shit

Comfort wise yes the extra is worth it IMO

I suppose you would have to try them on and leave a lid on for as long as possible and see how your noggin feels

Yeah it really pisses me off does that!

You could find the size you need in a shop and order it online take it for a test ride and use the distance selling act to return it

Then you got the hassle of gong to post office to send it back etc.... like your thinking though :D

I always used Shoei.....perfect fit for me!

But when the time came to replace it I wasn't going to pay those stupid prices!

So I got a HJC instead......the fit is virtually identical.

Is the Shoei better? Yes....it is! But it's not 3 times better.......which was the price differential between the two.

The main question here is "have you got a Shoei shape head" six?.....you need to try some on the see if they fit ok.....

Dead on! that's the best advice so far.Fit is everything. As I recall Shoei used to fit a wider range of heads than some other brands but its years since I was a salesman so try as many lids as you can before deciding.
